7th Annual Garlic Festival at Olde Mistick Village
Saturday, September 20 - Sunday, September 21, 2014

On Saturday and Sunday, September 20th and 21st, Olde Mistick Village will host its Seventh Annual Garlic Festival. Hours for this event will be 11am to 7pm on Saturday and 11am to 6pm on Sunday.

To celebrate the abundant fall harvest, farmers will present an amazing variety of Garlic for sale in addition to fresh produce. More farmers than ever will have honey, jams, preserves, ice cream, baked goods, and syrups. Throughout the day and evening, dozens of local restaurants and food service establishments will be serving, for purchase, delicious garlic related foods as well as non-garlic favorites. A host of merchants, artisans, authors and artists will line the pathways of Olde Mistick Village displaying their foods, crafts, gifts, and talents. Along with over 70 vendors, you will find Olde Mistick Village merchants offering garlic related activities or products at their stores.

An Olde Mistick Village event would not be complete without FREE family entertainment. Activities will include The Pequotsepos Nature Center’s “Birds of Prey” and “Reptile” program, My Dogs Place “Obedience and Training” show and a demonstration from Black Bear Karate.

Favorite local bands and musicians will play throughout the weekend. From pure blues, original and classic rock, soul and classic jazz bands throughout the two days will include: Andy & Bethany, James Harris, RGB, FranknPhil Acoustic Duo, Sue Menhart Band, Raycurt Johnson, Gary &Friends featuring Christine Cooney, Professor Harp, Teddy Gudis, Munsell Brothers, Chris McKay & The Tone Shifters, Sue Mead, Kala Farnham, Ken Atkins & the Honky Tonk Kind, Ms Marci & The Lovesick Hounds, Green Tea and EasyBaby.
