Shop Small Merchant Series – GINEVA Murano Glass Jewelry

Shop Small continues to be an annual shopping tradition — just one part of the larger Shop Small Movement to support small businesses every day and everywhere. Because a visit to our family-owned Village, shoppes, and restaurants not only supports our local economy but also promotes a thriving community.

Name of your store: GINEVA Murano Glass Jewelry

Your name/relationship to store: Christina Kurtin/Owner, Designer

How long have you been in the Village?: 6 years

What makes your store so special?:
GINEVA offers handmade, authentic Murano Glass Jewelry created locally in East Haddam, Connecticut. Our use of handblown Murano Glass, Swarovski Crystal, and Sterling Silver designs make it unique. The GINEVA line is offered here in Olde Mistick Village for 50 to 70% less than retail.

How did the idea of your business come about?:
Christina & Christina Kurtin (Owners/Designers) noticed that most authentic Murano jewelry was not made with quality components; nor was it designed to the taste of the American woman. This thought process was what launched GINEVA; which is created specifically for the modern woman, incorporating both trending, and stunning designs.

What about your store are you most proud of?:
GINEVA offers a beautiful, quality line of jewelry that does not “break the bank”!

What motivates you every day?:
Our customers love of GINEVA! When we hear how our lines touches the lives of our customers and those they love, it excites and rejuvenates us every day!

What do you like most about being in the Village?:
The fun family environment!

In what way does your business give back to the community in and around Mystic?:
GINEVA offers a quality, handblown, handmade product at wholesale pricing that is a rarity in today’s world. Our customers travel from all over the country, just to visit us at Olde Mistick Village; where they can choose their next GINEVA piece, and enjoy the special shops and restaurant that the Village offers!

GINEVA is located in Olde Mistick Village, Building 13, 27 Coogan Blvd. Mystic, CT 06355
