Olde Mistick Village Celebrates its 47th Anniversary
Olde Mistick Village will celebrate its 47th anniversary with a dedication ceremony of the new waterwheel on Friday, September 11, 2020, at 11:00 am. The waterwheel will be dedicated to the 9/11 first responders as well as front-line workers of the current COVID-19 pandemic. Suzette Tibus will MC the event and State Senator Heather Somers is expected to attend as well as other local leaders, friends and family.
Olde Mistick Village was established in 1972 and officially opened on September 11, 1973. Over 400 people attended its opening ceremony in front of the Meeting House, which was dedicated to Martin and Julie Olson. Olde Mystick Village was inspired after Peddlers Village in Pennsylvania.
